General Info
We recognise that your pet is a valued member of your family and treat each patient as if it was our own.
Since opening in 2003 we have been awarded Hospital Status by the Practice Accreditation Board of the Irish Veterinary Council - the highest rank that can be achieved. The services available include:
Veterinary Consultations - vaccinations, microchipping and advice on how to look after your pet. Consults are also for those pets feeling a bit under the weather for whatever reason.
Nurses Consultations - as an aid in preventative care our team of fully qualified Veterinary Nurses provide free Weight Clinics, Dental Clinics and Senior Clinics to advise pet owners on these topics.
Puppy Parties - to help owners socialise new puppies and answer any questions they may have our Nurses also hold regular puppy parties.
Veterinary Surgery - we have two dedicated surgeries which allows us to perform routine surgical procedures, such as neutering, and more complicated surgical procedures such as orthopaedics, cruciate ligament repair, soft tissue surgery etc.
Veterinary Diagnostics - to aid in the diagnosis of illness we have an x-ray machine, ultrasound and also an inhouse labarotory for blood and other fluid analysis.
Hydrotherapy Unit - we have a Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation Unit on site. This is predominantly used to speed recovery in dogs after orthopaedic or joint surgery but can also be used for weight loss and general fitness work. Hospital - our hospital facilities allow us to care for critically injured or sick animals on site.
Cattery - we have a cattery to provide a safe home when owners are on holidays.
We provide a 24 hour emergency service 365 days a year.

Saturday 9.00am - 4.00pm
Sunday: Closed except for emergencies.

My wife found a seriously injured Siberian Forrest Cat a few years ago. We rushed the little mite to Sunbeam Vets. We couldn't contact the owner but Vet Joe took great care of the cat but sadly he couldn't be saved. We got our own little Siberian over 2 years ago and we love her like a child. We took her to Sunbeam and put a health pack in place for her. We take her twice a year and they contact us to remind us and make an appointment. She knows she's going when we take out the carry case and tries to hide. They are all great over there and you can see they love the animals. It's not an expensive practice. That's obvious as there's always people in the reception area. We wouldn't change Sunbeam for anything.

Brought our dog 'buddy' here for treatment for bladder stones. They did a very good job. He needed to stay for 3 nights and so we missed him dearly, but we were so happy with the care he got from the ...
Brought our dog 'buddy' here for treatment for bladder stones. They did a very good job. He needed to stay for 3 nights and so we missed him dearly, but we were so happy with the care he got from the vets that we didn't mind so much. He has been in such great form since his procedure. The reception area is lovely and the staff so friendly. There were lots of customers and a genuine happy atmosphere prevailed.

Only 3 weeks after surgery for 2 broken back legs, Molly is on the mend and enjoying her hydrotherapy sessions with Sandra at Sunbeam, Blackpool. We are so, so glad we took her there. The level of care for Molly and support for owners is wonderful. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. It'll be a long road but we know she's in safe hands and will be chasing birds again xx

I have been a customer at the vets since they first opened and I have to say, they are the best people I've ever met. My dog recently passed and the care they provided to both me and Benji was amazing...
I have been a customer at the vets since they first opened and I have to say, they are the best people I've ever met. My dog recently passed and the care they provided to both me and Benji was amazing. Helen is so amazing and caring, she really helped me cope with Benji's passing, between getting me a paw print, some fur and helping me chose his cremation urn. Cant recommend the place highly enough, staff that really truly care about the animals they care for

Thank you to Joe and all staff.after my dog was wrongly diagnosed with a ilness.I went to sunbeam after a long year of trying to get control over the condition.within minutes of meeting with Joe the cause was soon discovered.she had her surgery and is now doing brill.can't thank them all enough for all the time on phone calls ye put into making fia better.

Sunbeam is an exceptional veterinary hospital, in a completely different league to what I'm used to. I don't want to use this review as a podium for the condemnation of my local veterinary hospital but Sunbeam was like a dream in comparison. Albeit a bittersweet one as I came to them with my cat, post mortem.

I would just like to pay a tribute to Sun Beam Vets ..not only are they amazing vets but they are totally committed not only to our own animals but to the abandoned and helpless cases ..they go beyond...
I would just like to pay a tribute to Sun Beam Vets ..not only are they amazing vets but they are totally committed not only to our own animals but to the abandoned and helpless cases ..they go beyond their call of duty to help these poor animals and rescues ..they give space ..they give time ..they give their staff ..even though they are full ..I had the pleasure in receiving that help on Monday when i came upon three dogs running loose ...they took the time to check for chips even though they were run off their feet ..Thankfully for one lucky dog that the owner did the responsible and had him chipped and owner was located not only that .this dog had been stolen six months ago ....unfortunately the other two didnt have responsible owners but Sun Beam didnt throw them out they took them in until a rescue was found ...Thankyou SunBeam for helping me and them ...i am so glad my animals are being looked after by you ...May i wish that you continue to flourish ..you and your team so deserve to ..Leslie x

My wife found a seriously injured Siberian Forrest Cat a few years ago. We rushed the little mite to Sunbeam Vets. We couldn't contact the owner but Vet Joe took great care of the cat but sadly he couldn't be saved. We got our own little Siberian over 2 years ago and we love her like a child. We took her to Sunbeam and put a health pack in place for her. We take her twice a year and they contact us to remind us and make an appointment. Brought our dog 'buddy' here for treatment for bladder stones. They did a very good job. He needed to stay for 3 nights and so we missed him dearly, but we were so happy with the care he got from the vets that we didn't mind so much. He has been in such great form since his procedure. The reception area is lovely and the staff so friendly. There were lots of customers and a genuine happy atmosphere prevailed.
