The good: The office staff is pretty awesome, girls up at the front have no attitude and are very helpful and accommodating. The ok: The veterinarians themselves struggle with listening to their clients, making assumptions, cutting you off and not getting the most accurate idea of what's going on as a result. One vet is better than the other, one is a little bit off her rocker and not enjoyable to deal with. She goes off on tangents and really, really doesn't listen even a little bit, but instead sells you on every flea control ever made over the course of 20 minutes. Guilt trips are her real specialty.The bad: If you want to pay a minimum of $300 to vaccinate your puppy, basics only, here's the spot for you. They charge an office exam every time you bring in the pup just for the booster shots. I would pick somewhere else that doesn't have this rip off policy.

Westend has taken care of our miniature schnauzer since she was a puppy. Always available to answer questions and show so much care and compassion for every pet. Staff is just wonderful and take the time to explain and educate. I am always more at ease when our little girl is in their hands, if there is an issue. Getting reminder, follow up and check in calls are much appreciated. She is taken care of like their own.

Dr. Leah Larson and staff at the Westend Veterinary Hospital are wonderful. Our dog was taken there on a first visit as we had decided to change vets. He suffered from urinary problems and Dr. Leah diagnosed the problem right away and a subsequent test confirmed this. Surgery was done and unfortunately the post surgery medication caused my dog to suffer seizures. Follow up was outstanding with complimentary neurological checks and Dr. Leah and all of the technician staff calling multiple times a day to see if there has been any changes, offer assistance and discuss options. They even credited me for the unused pain medications that were the cause of the seizures. I cannot recommend Westend Veterinary Hospital highly enough.

I want to thank ALL the staff at the Westend Veterinary Hospital for helping me say goodbye to my girl Gazza and have the dignified end she so deserved after a beautiful 14 and half year life. Gazza was getting older, sick and her quality of life quickly declined. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and with the assistance of Dr. Leah Larsen & Sam Forrest. Gazza was such a beautiful soul to anyone she ever met, I love and will miss her greatly. Thank you also to Caryn Ball who's first question to me everytime I saw her was, " How's Gazza?" Dr Leah Larsen was always so caring, patient and so sweet to my girl every visit over the last 7 years which thankfully, was not that often. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I brought our golden retriever Toby in when he collapsed and his spine was arched up. Dr. Leah Larson was so kind and caring with Toby when she examined him. Toby had an injection while he was there and I was given painkillers for Toby. I am so grateful for how amazing Dr. Larson was with Toby and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vet in Orangeville.

Happy to have tracked down Dr. Leah when she left Aurora. She was our Holly's vet when we first got her. Holly has had some health issues with her eye and Dr. Leah is the only vet she's had a connection with. Everyone here is so very friendly and helpful and all they care about is the animals in their care and their families. We are happy to travel the distance for such caring and compassionate people. Always a very positive experience. We have 5 pets and they are very accommodating for all of them. The staff is very knowledgeable about procedures and recommendations, as well as up to date on new and improved medicines, foods and treats. They care about the animals enough that even when they call to remind us about appointments or that food has come in they ask how everyone is doing. I would recommend them to anyone I know.

I have taken my two cats to Westend and they are wonderful. Unfortunately I lost one beloved Cat Snickers and they treated him as if he was their own especially Jen. My other Cat Yoda has diabietic and they take suck good care of her I would recommend them for all pet lovers.

Dr Barb Lewars is a horrible vet.Do not let this woman treat your pets.She almost killed mine by rushing into a diagnosis which was incorrect. We took our dog in as he had been sick (vomiting, no appetite, lethargic, etc) for a few weeks. The hospital took four x-rays - none of which showed anything unusual or abnormal. However, Davison became convinced, despite no actual proof, that my dog had some type of obstruction in the stomach or intestines.Instead of taking time to run all appropriate tests and consider all options, she practically forced us into a $3500 exploratory surgery. I even asked her if there were any other options or tests we could do before surgery and the only things she came up with was either an ultrasound or a barium contrast x-ray - both costing over $500 and according to her, not very reliable. No once did it ever occur to her to mention a quick, painless, and inexpensive blood panel. Only by sheer luck did she run a blood test before starting the surgery, then informed me, "It's a good thing I did the blood panel first, if I would have put him under anesthesia, he probably would have died." She admitted to my face that she almost killed him out of negligence and impatience, and made it sound like she was some sort of hero for saving his life.Even if he had survived, it would have cost us the $3500, plus he would have still been sick!I don't trust this woman, her judgment, or her ability to safely practice pet medicine.Beware!

I don't know why it will only let me choose 5 stars, you all deserve so many more. All of the ladies here are amazing, genuine care and concern for the animals. We have had our fair share of health issues with our pups and never once have I wavered in my trust of them. Any emergency, I can bring them in right away and am never made to feel that any concern is too small to be looked at. Myself, my husband and our dogs appreciate you more than you'll ever know!

Dr Barb Lewars is a horrible vet.Do not let this woman treat your pets.She almost killed mine by rushing into a diagnosis which was incorrect. We took our dog in as he had been sick (vomiting, no appetite, lethargic, etc) for a few weeks. The hospital took four x-rays - none of which showed anything unusual or abnormal. However, Davison became convinced, despite no actual proof, that my dog had some type of obstruction in the stomach or intestines.Instead of taking time to run all appropriate tests and consider all options, she practically forced us into a $3500 exploratory surgery. I even asked her if there were any other options or tests we could do before surgery and the only things she came up with was either an ultrasound or a barium contrast x-ray - both costing over $500 and according to her, not very reliable. No once did it ever occur to her to mention a quick, painless, and inexpensive blood panel. Only by sheer luck did she run a blood test before starting the surgery, then informed me, "It's a good thing I did the blood panel first, if I would have put him under anesthesia, he probably would have died." She admitted to my face that she almost killed him out of negligence and impatience, and made it sound like she was some sort of hero for saving his life.Even if he had survived, it would have cost us the $3500, plus he would have still been sick!I don't trust this woman, her judgment, or her ability to safely practice pet medicine.Beware!

The staff here are exceptional!!! Had two sick cats on my hands ...one wasn't eating or going to the washroom within 24 hours from leaving there she was feeling much better !!! now I have two health...

I don't know why it will only let me choose 5 stars, you all deserve so many more. All of the ladies here are amazing, genuine care and concern for the animals. We have had our fair share of health is...
I don't know why it will only let me choose 5 stars, you all deserve so many more. All of the ladies here are amazing, genuine care and concern for the animals. We have had our fair share of health issues with our pups and never once have I wavered in my trust of them. Any emergency, I can bring them in right away and am never made to feel that any concern is too small to be looked at. Myself, my husband and our dogs appreciate you more than you'll ever know!

Thank you so much to Dr Barb and staff for taking care of Oakley as she battles a bacterial skin infection. She feel so much better all ready :)
